Even if your PC won't boot up to your desktop, there is a very good chance that those important files you desperately need to get back can still be retrieved. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project... pretty much any type of file. Usually this is requested when a hard drive is inaccessible, but can still be used to recover deleted documents or even from a formatted drive.

Wait a minute.. What was that I just deleted? Oh, no! It was the photos of the newborn the day they came home \ 21st birthday party \ wedding day \ [insert important days photos here]! Don't panic, now, there's an excellent chance they can be recovered. But you need to be as quick as you can, because the longer you leave it, the more corrupt those snaps become. Even if the hard drive has been formatted or is inaccessible, they may still be recoverable.

If your hard drive is inaccessible or been formatted, there is a reasonable chance that your emails may still be recovered. I cannot recover individual emails you have deleted, but can most certainly attempt to recover the whole inbox to a day before you deleted it.

Just like cars, every now and then, the old PC will need a service. Over time, your registry gets bloated, links get broken and old useless files pile up in the background like forgotten school project papers. All this clogs your memory and slows your computer down. I run several programs and add a couple of tweaks of my own to help bring it up to speed again. Sometimes it's just hardware, but, of course, I would let you know that.

You haven't used the computer in a while and you'll be damned if you can remember the password to get in! Or someone has changed it and not told you (cheeky siblings, scorned ex, etc). You will need to provide a licence or passport for obvious reasons in this case.

Everything else is an hourly rate.
